Mario Alberti worked with the Tampa Police Department from 1983 to 2001. He was a narcotics handler assigned to a DEA task force and was assigned as supervisor of K9 and Mounted Patrol squads. Mr. Alberti handled patrol and cadaver canine, narcotics canine and explosive detection canines. He is a State of Florida certified handler, trainer and evaluator.
Mr. Alberti worked with the DHS/TSA from 2007 to 2020. He was assigned as an explosive canine cargo handler, a passenger screening canine handler, a Headquarters Canine Coordinator, a Unit Chief for Headquarters Canine Coordinators, a Acting Section Chief for all NEDCTP trainers, and was acting branch Chief for NEDCTP until retirement in December in 2020.
